Exclusive Offer for National Trust (NSW) Members: Royal Easter Show

Exclusive to the National Trust (NSW), the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW is giving our Members 20% off entry to the Sydney Royal Easter Show on Thursday 18 April 2019 – World Heritage Day. On this day at the Show, you can enjoy the Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail exhibition.

The Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail is coming to visit the Sydney Royal Easter Show!

Artisans from the Trades Trail will take over the Amphitheatre Lawns to celebrate World Heritage Day, giving visitors a taste of the annual Bathurst Festival and bring to life some of the trades of yesteryear. This special event has been registered as an Australian Heritage Festival Event with the added bonus of a promotion exclusive to National Trust (NSW) members.

On 18 April 2019, you can see traditional tradesmen and women demonstrate a variety of trades from yesteryear – providing a taste of the event to be held in Bathurst in May and highlighting the importance of preserving these trades. They will bring to life the fun of the traditional market fair, reminiscent of early Easter Shows.

Exhibits included in this terrific display include:

  • Traditional Weaving & Spinning
  • Wheelwright and Coach Builder
  • Stonemason
  • Saddle Maker
  • Antique Pushbikes
  • Whip Maker
  • Antique Botanical Printer
  • Blacksmith
  • Traditional Woodworker
  • Cobb & Co Coach

This year the pavilion travels back in time to the 1870s to relive the fashion, entertainment and exhibits from those early years. We invite you to try your hand at wool classing, kewpie doll making and even sending a telegraph. There will be dress up opportunities for all!

The Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail exhibition is open from 9am – 6.30pm; Show gates open at 9am.
