Dundullimal Homestead to close over winter while Business Model is changed

MEDIA RELEASE

As a result of significant financial operating deficits relating to the property, a decision has been made to close the property over winter while an extensive review of the business is conducted and a new business model developed, stated Brian Scarsbrick CEO of the National Trust of Australia (NSW).

The staff are being given notice that the property will close on 30th June and the permanent staff position will be made redundant.

Mr Scarsbrick stressed that a significant upgrading of the function centre and property has been made and the National Trust (NSW) will be reopening Dundullimal as soon as practical.

Dundullimal is an important heritage property in the Trust’s portfolio of 32 properties across NSW and we recognize its importance to the Dubbo community.  We are therefore planning to conduct several workshops with community stakeholders regarding the development of the new business plan for the property during the closure added Mr Scarsbrick.
