Seeking Tenants for Les Hansen House

Les Hansen House, 11 Stuart Terrace, Alice Springs

The National Trust (NT) is looking for reliable tenants to maintain the property and gardens in return for a substantially reduced rent. If you would like any further information or to view the property, please contact David on 0439 803 685.

Designed by architect Beni Burnett and constructed in 1942, the property was for the use of senior public servants based in Alice Springs. The property is one of the few houses in The Alice Springs Heritage Precinct that still retains all of its original outbuildings. The classic design of the building was to provide relief from the intense heat of the Central Australian summer with a wide, screened verandah used for sleeping, and the heavy masonry walls providing thermal mass to slow the temperature rise. In winter, the central fireplace and the kitchen stove were the main source of warmth.

The property has reverse cycle air conditioning and comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.  To view interior pictures of the property please go to: https://alicesprings.ljhooker.com.au/house-in-alice-springs
