Share your stories – Collie Roundhouse

Funding to remediate the Collie Roundhouse site and undertake conservation works was approved in August 2019. With works commencing on the removal of hazardous materials from the site, a more detailed investigation will provide a way forward to clear the site for future use.

As the project is progressing, we are now inviting members of the public to share their stories of Collie Roundhouse and its importance to the community to help inform our decisions.

Places like the Collie Roundhouse are full of stories. Maybe you or someone in your family had a great tale about the days when the Roundhouse was at its peak with the noise, the smells, and the heat of the steam locomotives clogging the air. Maybe you snuck in as a child to play in the workshops or your dad told you tales of the pranks they played on the apprentices? Perhaps you actually worked there?
