Valentine’s Day at Riversdale

Saturday 13 February 2021, 10am - 4pm

Visit the former estate of the New South Wales Surveyor-General; its original paddocks, outbuildings and grounds.

Enjoy the featured exhibition ‘The Old Town: Goulburn and Riversdale 1820 and Beyond,’ depicting the topography, history and earliest settlement of Goulburn Plains for Riversdale, and unique collections items following the recent 200 years of Goulburn celebrations. Built in the late 1830s as a coaching inn, the property is renowned for its collection of fine Australian Colonial furniture and arts and craft.

After exploring the Colonial Georgian home you will fall in love with the award winning gardens; perfect for a romantic walk with your other half. Either treat yourself to a morning/ afternoon tea in the courtyard, or pack a picnic and enjoy the splendid gardens with music entertaining you in the background – a Valentine’s Day steeped in history to remember.

See our friendly staff on the day for availability to view ‘The Old Town: Goulburn and Riversdale 1820 and Beyond’ exhibition, plus book on to House and Garden Tours with them.

Throughout the day garden games are also freely available and over 18’s can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine each between 2 and 4pm.

Please note: Riversdale is not actually open on Valentine’s Day – only on 13 February.
