Trust Kids at Polly Woodside: Where do you belong in history? (January 2017)

This summer, Trust Kids are going to ask you to imagine what life would have been like on the high seas!

The National Trust Victoria’s tall ship Polly Woodside now calls Melbourne home, but it wasn’t always that way. She sailed around the world 17 times, weathered mighty storms and survived the Roaring 40’s. Her crew were at sea for months at a time, dodging icebergs, whales, perhaps even pirates.

This summer, Trust Kids are going to ask you to imagine what life would have been like on the high seas. What dangers would you face? What skills did you need? Could you hack the hard work? Stomach the bad food?

And at the end of the day, would it have been better to be a sailor or a pirate? Come and find out! Travel back in time and find where you belong!

*Kids are to bring their own snacks, lunch and water bottles. Breaks will be provided.
