Following morning tea at NSW Parliament House enjoy a guided tour of both of these historic houses. Parliament House was originally the residence of the Chief Surgeon of the “Rum Hospital” (1811-1816) and is Australia’s first and oldest Parliament.
Government House, Sydney is currently the residence of the 38th Governor of NSW. Designed by Royal Architect, Edward Blore, it stands in exceptional grounds. It was first occupied in 1845 and was the most sophisticated building in the colony at the time. Decoration of the State Room interiors in 1879 was commissioned by the Colonial Architect, James Barnet.
