Lithgow Regional Branch of the National Trust welcomes you to a movie evening with a difference - 'The Harbour Bridge and Lithgow Links'.
This Lithgow National Trust fundraiser will feature historic films from the National Film and Sound Archive and photo displays.
An introduction will be given by Hampton resident Ian Litchfield illustrating his father, Frank’s close connection with the Bridge. Frank Litchfield was a supervising engineer under Dr John Bradfield, the Chief Engineer. Film commentary by Frank Litchfield and photographs will show him at work with engineers and the many construction workers who laboured in hair-raising conditions to construct the bridge in the early 1930s. Jan Saundercock, of the Lithgow & District Family History Society will also show treasured photographs and talk about her family connection with the bridge.
Tickets $15 including refreshments.
