Come and enjoy the completed drawings of politicians, writers, photographers, businesspeople, environmentalists and more from local Artist, Ward O'Neill.

O’Neil’s work previously seen in the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian Financial Review and the Bulletin magazine is soon to exhibit in the Everglades art gallery.

The drawings are part of a long graphic tradition in newspapers, magazines and books. The tradition is threatened to a significant extent by new technology. The surviving newspapers are smaller, and illustrators are few.

Works include people of the Blue Mountains such as Charles Darwin, painter Arthur Streeton, Marxist archaeologist Vere Gordon Childe or the newspaper proprietor James Joynton Smith and more.

In an attempt to explain their presence through the drawings, Ward O’Neill imparts their character and personal qualities.
