The National Trust, in association with Film Art Media, is proud to welcome the successful Dressmaker Costume Exhibition to Rippon Lea House and Gardens.
Following in the footsteps of the popular Dressmaker Costume Exhibition at Barwon Park Mansion, the exquisite collection of haute couture costumes from the critically acclaimed film, The Dressmaker, is moving to Rippon Lea. Visitors can marvel at the costumes featured in the movie by award-winning costume designers Marion Boyce and Margot Wilson.
The exhibition will transport you to the dusty town of Dungatar in the 1950s, and take you on a journey of transformation through the artful and luxurious costumes worn by Kate Winslet and the cast of The Dressmaker. The exhibition will reveal how the costumes were made and developed and allow you to discover the immense level of detail and artisanship that went into these magnificent costumes.
With over 40 featured designs set in the beautiful surrounds of Rippon Lea, the exhibition celebrates the transformative power of fashion and the Australian landscape.
Visit The Dressmaker Exhibition website for further details including upcoming special events.
