The Art and Culture of Retford Park

Art was a driving force in James Fairfax’s life. He travelled Australia and the world to surround himself with some of the world’s greatest art.

Retford Park became a treasure trove of pieces he collected during these times.  Although many of these works have been gifted or sold to support numerous institutions or charities, there still is an impressive selection housed in his country residence in Bowral.

During November as the sun starts to fall, John Mullholland who managed Retford Park for well over 30 years and is also an art connoisseur, along with the current manager, Scott Pollock, will take guided tours showcasing part of the legacy left by Mr James Fairfax.

To finish this exclusive tour, hors d’oeuvres and champagne will served as the sun sets on Retford Park.
