This summer, view a stunning exhibition by local artist, Pamela Black, that celebrates the connection between women and nature; a relationship that is both sacred and vital, especially in the face of climate change.

Women have long been the stewards of nature, nurturing it and drawing strength from it. In a time when our planet is calling for help, Pamela Black highlights this bond and inspires a sense of urgency and reverence for the environment.

This exhibition is included in a valid Everglades Entry ticket. After viewing these incredible works, step out to make the most of Everglades House & Gardens. Enjoy sweeping views of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, while strolling through the beautifully maintained gardens and exploring the beautifully restored Art Deco house. Be sure to stop for a delicious Devonshire Tea in the tea rooms while you’re there.

Artist statement
As an artist living in the Blue Mountains, I find myself deeply intertwined with the natural world around me. My work revolves around the connection between women and nature, a relationship that is both sacred and vital, especially in the face of climate change.

Women have long been the stewards of nature, nurturing it and drawing strength from it. In a time when our planet is calling for help, I want to highlight this bond and inspire a sense of urgency and reverence for the environment.

Creating art about this connection allows me to explore ways in which women’s experiences and environmental issues intersect. It’s important for me to shine a light on the resilience of women and the natural world, celebrating their beauty while also acknowledging the challenges we concurrently face.

In the enchanting realm where dreams weave their delicate threads, I find myself at the crossroads of imagination and reality. “The stuff that dreams are made on,” a profound quote from Shakespeare, captures the essence of my artistic vision. My artwork serves as an ethereal portal, inviting you, to embark on a journey beyond the ordinary, where the boundaries of possibility are fluid

Here, in this dreamlike sanctuary, I invite you to explore the visions and dreams that stir within you. Each brushstroke is a whisper, urging you to connect more deeply with your own essence and the echoes of the natural world around us. Together, let us celebrate the magic that unfolds when our dreams intertwine with reality.

As you step into this world of ephemeral wonder, may you find solace and inspiration, and the potential for profound transformation. Embrace the journey, for it is in this dance between dreams and reality that we discover the extraordinary. Let us dream together, nurturing the seeds of imagination that bloom in the heart. Welcome to a world where anything is possible.
