Did you know that Steele Rudd, real name Arthur Hoey Davis, was born in Drayton in 1868? Davis wrote a series of stories about life on the land that became the basis for the iconic Australian ‘Dad and Dave from Snake Gully’ radio series and later movies, ‘On Our Selection’.
Bring the children to Royal Bull’s Head Inn for a day of activities that includes a showing of the movie ‘On Our Selection’ (11am to 2pm with free popcorn), a reading of Australian short stories and poems especially for children, a search for the treasures of the Inn and a pick from the ‘prize box’ for those who find the treasures.
