Revealed: The Gallery Collection & Conservation in Action

Revealed: the Gallery collection and conservation in action presents an exciting moment in the exhibition program to gain insight into the gallery’s permanent collection and understand the process behind maintaining one of Sydney’s greatest collections of Australian colonial and twentieth century art.

As part of this special feature we are displaying some of the gems from the collection while expert conservators from International Conservation Services will be on site cleaning works from the collection. This is a rare opportunity to see art conservation in action!

The conservation project provides the opportunity for the National Trust to honour and promote Australian art and to continue the celebration of artists in our nation’s history

Revealed: the Gallery collection and conservation in action will be open to patrons on Tuesdays – Fridays only.

Entry by gold coin donation.

Please be advised as conservation treatment will be underway, visitors with allergies or sensitivities may need to consider the use of protective masks.
