Pitnacree Heritage Walk

Take a walk with the Friends of Grossmann House and our guide, Michael Belcher, as we discover the hidden gem of East Maitland - Pitnacree.

Now isolated by the rail line and a new river and rail crossing, this little cluster of buildings holds a fascinating history. Pitnacree has seen many changes – from a river that changed its course and left a bridge high and dry, to a disused saw mill with remnants of its milling history still visible. There are small cottages and some grand houses to see, set next to farming paddocks which still show Maitland’s rural nature.

A delicious afternoon tea will be held back at Brough House in Church St, Maitland.

*Please note there will be some uneven walking.*

$25.00 / $20 NT members. Bookings are essential so please call Holly on (02) 4933-3330.
