Picnic Day at Miss Traill’s

Saturday 20 February 2021, 10am - 4pm

Wander this delightful garden, house and museum collection, followed by an afternoon picnic in the stunning exterior, with garden games for all the family.

Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the National Trust in NSW in style at Miss Traill’s House and Garden, in the historic town of Bathurst.

With free entry, wander this delightful house at your own pace or book onto a guided museum tour, led by one of our passionate and knowledgeable volunteers, guiding you through the Victorian-era bungalow and its wide collection of pieces that once belonged to some of the original settlers of the district. Among the vast collection pieces, items include Miss Traill’s exquisite hand-made cocktail dresses – see how fashion has changed over the years.

Afterwards wander outside for a self guided tour of the heritage gardens, with music playing softly while groups gather for an afternoon picnic or play bowls in this picturesque garden.

$$ ADD ON: Pre-order your picnic box to collect on the day! Consisting of assorted wraps, assorted slice muffin or cake and water. Picnic boxes are $20 and must be collected at the kitchen at 12pm.
