Revel in a delightful afternoon of operatic magic from around the world, performed outdoors in the beautiful gardens of Dubbo's historic National Trust property.
Performed in the gardens on the lawns of Dundullimal Homestead, an array of incredible opera singers from near and far will perform crowd favourites from international repertoires.
Join sopranos Rebecca Collins and Rachael Duncan, baritone Rohan Thatcher and pianist Vivienne Winther, for a program of popular arias, duets and ensembles from operas by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini and Bizet, as well as favourites from Broadway musicals and the movies.
This year’s featured guest artist is award-winning young tenor Nathan Bryon, originally from Geurie, an alumnus of Macquarie Conservatorium and Sydney Conservatorium, and a scholarship recipient of the Melba Opera Trust and the Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Foundation. Also performing at 1.00pm is the very popular Macquarie Conservatorium Big Band.
Bring your loved ones, a picnic and rugs or chairs and settle in for a delightful afternoon of operatic magic. A range of delicious gourmet cheese, charcuterie, or sweet treat hamper boxes will be available to pre-book and a limited walk-up bar will be on offer, serving beer, wine, cider, sparkling and a range of non-alcoholic beverages as well as espresso and tea.
The Opera arrives at Dundullimal Homestead on 15 May 2022. Gates open at 12.30pm for a 2pm – 4pm performance.
Proudly presented by Macquarie Conservatorium and Dundullimal Homestead National Trust (NSW).
