Miss Traill’s House & Garden: A Traditional Night before Christmas

The volunteer committee of Miss Traill's House and Garden are decking the halls in preparation for the popular 'A Traditional Night Before Christmas'.

Now in its 25th year, this event is guaranteed to put you in the festive mood!

Once again this year the Carillon Show Band will lead the crowd in stirring renditions of our best loved Christmas carols. Whilst the entertainment will be in the award winning garden and adjoining Horse paddock, The National Trust owned Miss Traill’s House (built in 1845) will be open to the public with all rooms candlelit and decorated for a traditional Christmas.

For the children, there will be Christmas craft activities, fun games and a visit from Santa himself with his lolly filled sack.

BYO picnic dinner or purchase a BBQ steak or sausage sandwich or Chicken kebab. Wine, beer and soft drinks will also be available for purchase.

The National Trust shop located inside Miss Traill’s house will be open and is stocked with beautiful and unique gifts. Great for some very special Christmas shopping!

A Traditional Night Before Christmas is one of the most popular Christmas events held in Bathurst. The committee is sure, Miss Traill, who was known for her generous hospitality, would approve of all the festivities.

Bring the family and friends along for an evening based on simple, old fashioned family fun and start celebrating the holiday season.

Please note that as this is a special fundraising event members do not gain free access to the event.
