During the Traces of Girlhood installation, National Trust Members are invited to enjoy a special addition to their Como House tours—a rare glimpse into the Tweeny Room. This unique room, not available on regular tours, holds a significant connection to the young girls who worked as maids at Como House.
The Tweeny Room, nestled up a steep flight of stairs with a beautiful garden view, was home to the servant in training. This young girl, apart from the children’s nurse, was the only servant quartered within the main house, learning the daily routines and handling the most basic of tasks.
Whether you’re discovering Como House for the first time or returning for another visit, the tour provides a perfect opportunity to delve deeper into Como’s rich history.
This tour is exclusively for National Trust Members. Spaces are limited, and bookings are essential. Please note that the Tweeny Room is accessed via approximately 15 steep stairs and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
