The award-winning Sport for Jove Theatre Company has been bringing Shakespeare’s finest works to life at Leura’s Everglades House & Gardens since 2010. In January, this much-anticipated annual Shakespearean event returns with a stunning production of Much Ado About Nothing.
Dazzling wit, perfect comedy, dangerous possibilities and cruel deceits, Much Ado is deservedly beloved of audiences worldwide. Sport for Jove’s new production, directed by the wonderful Samantha Young (Away, 2016), challenges the plays darkest edges while celebrating its extraordinary liveliness and tumultuous couplings – Benedick and Beatrice, Hero and Claudio – along with the eccentric community that orbits them.
Don Pedro’s army is home, and so the war begins – can women trust men, can men recognise women, can love be defined by something more than words?
Full of dance, song, libidinous life and a stunning cast, this annual event is set amongst the original garden theatre featuring a beautiful backdrop over the Jamison Valley.
