Time to reveal some lesser-known facts about Melbourne’s oldest surviving building and its owners
A talk covering the development of La Trobe’s Jolimont estate and aspects of the La Trobe family’s life at Jolimont. It will reveal some lesser-known facts about the cottage and its owners.
Helen Botham was the foundation chair of the Friends of La Trobe’s Cottage. She carried out research into garden history for the National Trust and the Australian Garden History Society, and was a researcher and contributor to The Oxford Companion to Australian Gardens. In 2006 her book La Trobe’s Jolimont: a walk round my garden was published.
Afternoon tea will be served. All welcome.
