Celebrate the launch of Brough House’s exciting new Artist in Residence, Newcastle-based textile artist Vicki Cornish, with bubbles and finger food. After, view a special textiles display from the Grossmann House collection.
Brough House’s second Artist in Residence programme will be launched as part of special International Women’s Day celebrations, offering sparkling wine and delicious finger food upstairs in the Fibre Makers’ Space as we welcome Newcastle-based textile artist Vicki Cornish.
Vicki’s three month Residency will take inspiration from the Grossmann Collection, houses and gardens, with an open studio, workshops and an exhibition as the culmination of the programme. The ”gentle arts” usually associated with women’s work will be paid homage through a display of domestic and decorative textiles from the Grossmann Collection on show downstairs in the Cecily Mitchell space at Brough House.
This wonderful display will be on view for a small fee throughout March and April.
