Join an exclusive small group of heritage enthusiasts as we explore these special places that are sure to whet your appetite to learn more about this historic region.

The walking tour will commence in Richmond and finish at Windsor. Participants will enjoy access to some rarely seen internal spaces. As we walk along the main streets we will stop to enjoy other Historic State and locally listed commercial buildings. You will be able to purchase morning tea at our last pub in Richmond before returning to your car to drive to Windsor.

As we wander slowly up George Street, Windsor we will pass the McQuade Park with views towards St Matthew’s Anglican Church. We hope that you will join us in a pub lunch then we will visit another couple of pubs before we finish the tour at the Macquarie Arms Hotel, built under instructions from Governor Macquarie in 1815.

Join this guided tour from 9:30am – 4pm, Thursday 24 August 2023.

Please bring sensible shoes, sunscreen, a hat and sufficient water for the duration of the tour.

Morning tea and lunch not included. Please BYO or join us at our preferred stops along the way.

A map and tour notes will be supplied to all participants on the day, including suggested parking place at Windsor.
