Great Houses of Ipswich 2018

The National Trust, through its Ipswich Branch and in partnership with the owners of three Great Houses, is very proud to help open the doors to just a few of the outstanding heritage residences.

Since the inaugural event in May 2013, Great Houses of Ipswich has opened 21 privately-owned homes that illustrate the history and significance of Ipswich.

On 12 May 2018 three privately owned heritage homes will open to the public.

The three houses will be announced by March 2018 and details will be published here when finalised.

Free entry to National Trust members and students and $5 per person per property for other visitors. Children and students are free. There are no bookings. The houses will be open 10am to 4pm.

This open day is a fantastic opportunity to see these private residences that might otherwise be appreciated by only a few.

Great Houses of Ipswich hopes to provide recognition and support for the great owners who care for these places and make them available to the public.

The National Trust, through the Great Houses of Ipswich project, hopes to widely promote Ipswich and its heritage, and strengthen the relationship Queenslanders have with their past.

The National Trust acknowledges the support of Ipswich City Council in presenting the Great Houses of Ipswich in 2017.
