Join us in jumping aboard the oldest passenger carrying carriages in Victoria!
Hop aboard the Victorian Colonial Express and be transported back in time by riding from Castlemaine to Maldon. The Victorian Goldfields Railway is fortunate to be able to operate these last remaining historic vehicles for special occasions only and we’d like National Trust Members to join us! Due to their heritage nature they’re only used for special and historic occasions. Experience rail travel as it was 130 years ago, in original carriages on an original branchline with intact infrastructure from the 1800’s.
