Ellensbrook Mokidup Conservation Works Tour

The National Trust of WA invites you to an exclusive walk-through at the historic Ellensbrook Homestead, where vital conservation works are being carried out by Keith McAllister, training director from Applied Building Conservation Training (Aust) Group, conservation architects fromthe National Trust, and volunteer training groups.

This hour long behind the scenes tour will allow you to gain an insight into the conservation works taking place over the next few months using traditional crafts and techniques.

Core works include:
Salt damp remediation
Repointing techniques
Manufacturing traditional lime mortars
Stone masonry & lime washing
Heritage painting
Timber conservation

As you will be walking through a construction site, please wear protec ve or enclosed footwear.
