Come and join us for an interesting walk in the Lower Blue Mountains.
We will depart from the carpark at the corner of York St and Barnet St and walk towards Marges Lookout, viewing the remains of Dunn’s Sawmill and dam-site on the way. At the lookout we will get a wonderful view of the Cumberland Plains and the Penrith Lakes Scheme, before descending on a bush track to Lennox Bridge, the oldest existing bridge on the mainland of Australia. From there we walk up an easy grade to the quarry site from where the stone of the bridge was won.
Then an easy walk back to the carpark for tea and coffee and beaut homemade cakes and bickies.
All for the very reasonable cost of $20
