View a beautiful new exhibition of works by Corinne Loxton and Owen Thompson on display in the Everglades House & Gardens gallery.
The paintings for this exhibit, numbering approximately 40, represent both studio and plein air works in various mediums, including oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolour.
Both artists call the Blue Mountains home and are inspired by the forms, textures and colours of the trees, cliff faces and sky that is unique to this part of the country.
The works of these well-known landscape artists form a visual tribute to the beauty of the greater Blue Mountains region. Corinne works in oils, often in the open, or plein air, aiming to capture the grandeur of the Mountains and Capertee Valley area. Owen’s images of the Blue Mountains’ dramatic escarpments and local trees explore the textural effects of watercolour with pastels, charcoal, acrylic and oils.
After viewing these incredible works, step out to make the most of Everglades House & Gardens. Enjoy sweeping views of the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, while strolling through the beautifully maintained gardens and exploring the beautifully restored Art Deco house. On weekends, stop for a delicious Devonshire Tea in the tea rooms.
