Ayers House museum Spectacular Silver

A Workshop & Display of Early Australian Silver at Ayers House.

The National Trust of South Australia’s Ayers House, features some of the finest collections of Victorian furniture, silver and tableware in the State.

The last surviving mansion of its era on the southern side of North Terrace, Ayers House interpreted the life of an upper middle class family of the 19th century.

The Australian Antique and Art Dealers Association in collaboration with the National Trust will be conducting a Silver Spectacular Weekend with hands-on workshops, display of silver from the National Trust of South Australia’s collections including: Wendt, Steiner, Brunkhorst and Schomburg and the sale of antique silver by members of the AAADA to reflect on the social history of this important silver making time.

Participants in this exciting workshop, will be taken back in time to hear the story of how life may have been for people of Adelaide’s society along with the Ayers Family. They will also be able to ask questions during Q & A sessions along with handling original silver making tools and items of Australian, European and English antique silver and gold, as well as examples of antique Australian jewellery.

Admission: $15, tickets available at the door.

The workshops are complimentary, secure your place by registering now. To register and for further information
