From the Mistress to the Cook, these women’s stories are a fascinating window to a golden age in Melbourne society in both the 19th and 20th centuries. Come with us as we explore the house that has a multitude of hidden stories to tell in an hour long house tour. From the very beginning women at Como House have had an active hand in the development of the house and its grounds. The women raised here saw the suffragette movement unfold, became landowners and property developers, engaged with the Arts and Boy Scouts movements, traveled extensively and off the beaten track and volunteered at the French front throughout WW1 and much more. We look forward to welcoming you and revealing a new angle to the story of Como House.
