Experience ‘State of the Art’ at Sydney’s exciting new architectural landmark and newest art gallery, part of the Art Gallery of NSW. Find out the secrets of the Gallery’s SANAA-designed North Building and encounter one-of-a-kind artworks created especially for the AGNSW.
Who are the towering bronze beings that greet you at the entrance? How was an abandoned oil tank turned into a gallery? In this tour, we explore the art and architecture of the Art Gallery’s new building. Meet the one-of-a-kind artworks created for this space, from large-scale installations by significant Indigenous artists to new sculptural work by international artists.
You will be fitted with headsets to follow along with your Experienced Lead. After the tour enjoy morning tea and there is also the opportunity to explore the new Gallery further on your own afterwards.
