Enjoy some unhurried creative Christmas fun in our immersive museum.
Check out of 2020 and enjoy a couple of hours in a 160 year old mansion!
This experience will appeal to children and adults who love old places, love making things
and like ‘hands-on history’. Ayers House Museum is the sort of place that has something to offer
people of all ages. It is also makes for a wonderful intergenerational outing.
During your two hour session you can;
- explore all three levels of museum
- take a family portrait by the Christmas tree
- make a salt dough decoration
- make your own Christmas cards
- make paper chains
- play with old toys
You can take the things you make home with you.
Due to Covid we have spread out the dressing up, making and game playing ‘stations’ throughout the museum.
While volunteers and staff will be on hand to help you, your family will work independently at their own pace.
There is no requirement to stay for the full two hours.
