Your Place

Would you like to find out more about your suburb and house?
This presentation by Local Studies Specialists will show you how you can use the library’s resources to view land grants, parish, topographic and aerial maps, subdivision plans, images, newspaper articles and land title searches.

Your Place is special to you. It also has a history. From the original local Aboriginal inhabitants to the present, many people have called this place home. Some of this history has been recorded in photos, official maps, land sales, articles and other’s memories. The library holds a treasure trove of these resources which you can access to find out more about your place. This presentation gives an introduction to what is available and starting points for you to begin your own research in the library and online from home.
