Visit archaeological sites in the Parramatta CBD!
Major redevelopment in the City of Parramatta have provided a rare opportunity for leading archaeologists to excavate a range of significant sites across the city, delivering amazing insights into our Aboriginal and colonial past.

High school aged youth can join our experienced guide on this exclusive activity, discovering the significance of stratigraphy; participating in scientific examination of genuine artefacts and gaining access to key sites which shine a light on the intriguing stories being unearthed in the CBD. You will also have the opportunity to meet archaeologists involved in the excavations.

Bookings are essential. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time, for registration. Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a hat, water, snacks and sunblock.
