A coach tour celebrating the life of William Stitt Jenkins (1812-1878), a prolific rhymester, poet and prominent figure in Geelong Includes morning tea, light lunch and comprehensive notes. Parking is available at Barwon Grange for departure.

William Stitt Jenkins 1812-1878, a prolific rhymester, poet and prominent figure in Geelong.  A coach tour visiting significant sites which tell the story and celebrate the life of this unusual character. He was  ‘a man of worth and sterling mind’ who had a voice and expressed his views in verse on many civic affairs, including public parks and gardens, the plight of the underprivileged, the opening of the Geelong to Melbourne Railway and the National Anthem.

Depart Barwon Grange, parking available. Includes morning tea, light lunch and comprehensive notes.
