Twilight Poetry Lantern Light Trail

Enjoy an evening of poetry by lantern light as you traverse a trail exploring the historical ballade and their origins.
Tilba is famous for its Dramatics Art Club of 1888. Today, inspired to a create a poetry night, this guided walk of the streets of Central Tilba reveals the story of five incredible poets.

Ending the week’s events of The Australian Heritage Festival in Central Tilba, a National Trust Village on the Far South Coast . Tilba walks Heritage Walking Tours will accompany you on the streets of Central Tilba.
Join your local guide at the School of Arts in the big hall for the finale of the Art Exhibition of ‘Community and the Painting’. . This event will include the body of works by four local artists and their interpretation capturing 4 local historical stories on canvas.

From there the Twilight Poetry Lantern Light Walk begins. This walk will take you through great Australian moments of shared stories in poetry, recited on the streets by artists and poets as well as their original work.

The time is set for twilight and led by lantern light to each poet of the evening in their own setting of choice, this will be a free event to all and after will finish in the Hotel Dromedary to hear the last poet.

This walk will take approximately 45mins to its conclusion.

To view the work by local artist Exhibition viewing begins at 4 pm
