Truth and Lies – Dark History Tour of North Melbourne

Journey into the depths of North Melbourne's history. Beware, not every story your guide tells you is true and it's up to you to decide what is fact and what is fiction. An interactive tour of yarns, mystery and tales that might send a shiver down your spine.

Starting from the corner of Errol Street and Queensberry Street you’ll meet your guide. After a night studying the 79 pubs and hotels that existed in North Melbourne he’ll have some stories to tell you but not all of them are true. With score card in hand, it’ll be up to you decide what’s true and what’s false.

This is the second time this walking tour has ran during the Heritage Festival. With new bizarre stories, both true and false, you might just find yourself with the dubious honour of winning this years Certificate of Gullibility.

You’ll be taken around North Melbourne for a sixty minute walking tour. You’ll learn the history of some of North Melbourne’s most famous landmarks, infamous larrikins and troublesome animals. The theme is dark and miserable, but with a sense of humour.
