Discover the history of Rokeby Road during the tram era in the Subiaco Museum's new temporary exhibition, 'Trams and Trade: Rokeby Road, 1900 to 1958'. Take a journey beginning in 1900 and discover six decades of growth and change that transformed Subiaco’s main strip from a small town street to a community centre.

Take a journey beginning in 1900 and stay seated through six decades of growth and change that transformed Subiaco’s main strip from a small town street to a community centre. Discover the different roles Rokeby Road played in community life as residents, businesses and the Council adjusted to rapid population growth, endured significant hardship brought on by global events and responded to increasing demands for modernisation and advancement.

After exploring the exhibition, challenge yourself to find some of Rokeby’s oldest buildings within the modern streetscape.
