Through the Eyes of Alice – Tales of Murder and Mayhem

Three course meal, performance and lantern-lit tour of the 121 year old, heritage-listed hotel.

Alice Ottey was the original owner of The Railway Hotel, (now The Parkerville Tavern) and will take you on a historical journey, as she wonders at the sights and sounds of the success of ‘her’ tavern – The Parkerville Tavern – leading patrons on a historical tour of this landmark, historically listed, pub in the hills.

Hear stories about how it came to life and the colourful characters who are part of the settlement of Parkerville’s history.

When Alice’s legacy began back in 1902, our beloved ‘Parky’ was the site of The Railway Hotel. Alice returns for one night only to tour the site of what once was her ramshackle house, from which she started selling wine and beer from the cellar.

Through Alice’s eyes, you will see her wonder at what is now a two-storey marvel, as you walk with her through the establishment and up the stairs onto the second-storey balcony, where she recounts the fateful day of her husband’s murder.
