The Trust Talks: The Debate

'It’s not a chip on your shoulder if they’re really out to get you' – Queensland is unfairly underrepresented on Australia’s big heritage lists.

Queensland is one of the largest states in Australia and undoubtedly rich in environmental, built and cultural heritage – but is this heritage unrecognised? Do Australia’s big heritage lists unfairly forget about Queensland heritage in their focus on the southern states?

In this light hearted debate about a serious topic, we pitch three of Queensland’s leading heritage specialists against a visiting team of outsiders to decide – is Queensland truly underrepresented? Or do they just have an inferiority complex?
