The Tiwaris: A Nepalese migrant story

Spotlight Display: The Tiwaris: A Nepalese migrant story

The current spotlight display at Hurstville Museum & Gallery focuses on a family of the Nepalese community of St George. Get to know the Tiwari family and discover their migration story; how they adapted to Western customs but still stay connected to Nepalese culture since living in Australia.

“We have modified our traditions a little bit since living in Australia. We still keep the good parts, getting together, eating and celebrating.”
