Stories Set In Brick And Stone

Visit one of the oldest colonial buildings in Australia, view a rare sunken dairy, discover the history of Parramatta Park’s monuments!

Examine original construction details, including lathe and plaster walls, colonial brickwork and a shingle roof within the Dairy Cottage and delve into the daily lives of the humble and the elite of the colony.

After touring the Dairy and Ranger’s Cottages, you will enjoy a walk encompassing the range of monuments in picturesque Parramatta Park to discover the stories and historic events they commemorate.

This tour is suitable for adults. There is no wheelchair access inside the cottages.

A number of areas in the Dairy Precinct have limited accessibility. There are also uneven surfaces inside the cottages and surrounding gardens, with paths and entries that may cause trips, slips or falls.
