Steam@ Richi

You will be visiting the mining site of the coal magnet 'Baron' John Brown at Richmond Main. (In the Hunter Valley)
While there relive the past or discover a new experience by riding behind our historic steam or diesel engine .

Richmond Vale Railway is situated on the Richmond Main Colliery site with the two story offices now housing a growing mining museum showing ‘Baron’ John Brown’s influence over coal mining / rail haulage/shipping/ electricity supply in our lower Hunter Valley.
The engines you ride behind were not owned by John Brown but have their own history, as do the carriages…
Our Front room display changes with the theme of our special days,
On our special days and school holiday Sundays we try to have model train layouts on show so the public can see our members special interest.
Other members interests are displayed in the 7 1/4 inch train track ( mini Train) that the public can ride behind.

Open the first three Sundays of each Month and School Holidays Sundays Only.
