St Paul’s Anglican Church will be open from 4pm for public viewing followed by a gospel singalong.
Built in 1911 and designed in a Federation Gothic style, the church is constructed of locally-sourced granite and faced in Donnybrook Stone. The Church’s architectural features makes it one of Bridgetown’s most beautiful buildings.
Information will also be available about Gordon Holdsworth’s arts and crafts traditions and pieces found in the church.
The Gospel Singalong with Mary Myfanwy and Daun Crozier starts at 5.30pm. Whimsical folk tales and haunting melodies are the stamp of Bridgetown singer-songwriter Myfanwy. Known for her distinctive deep, melodic voice, she regularly entertains crowds through the South West with her gently poetic music spiced with folk, jazz, country-blues, soul and indie pop, accompanied by local drummer/percussionist Daun Crozier.
Come and singalong in a beautiful heritage building and celebrate Bridgetown’s heritage. All welcome.
