Celebrate International Museums Day at Wireless Hill Museum with the new exhibition Signals, Cyphers and Stories; An Embroidered History of Wireless Hill. Curated in partnership with the Innovative Stitches group from the Embroiderers’ Guild of WA, this exhibition interprets the history of communication through embroidered stitch and oral histories. Talks, embroidery workshops and more!

Children’s Activity: Science and History of Communication Technology with Richard Rennie.

10am to 11am.

Presentation, Demonstrations and Activities designed for Inspiration! 30 minutes presentation followed by 30 minutes of activities.

Suitable for Classes Year 2 to Year 9.

Make your Own Brooch with Innovative Stitches

1pm to 4pm

Our brooch making session is part of Wireless Hill Museum’s exhibition Signals Cyphers and Stories. Suitable for both beginners and more experienced stitchers, participants will learn to sew a variety of canvas work stitches and take home a lovely finished brooch to wear. All materials will be supplied.

Suitable for adults. Cost: $15.00
