Revealing the Past
Interact with Archaeologists and Historians to learn how we can interpret artefacts to understand the past.
Explore and discover the past during our Community Archaeology Days at the Courthouse Museum at 61 High Street in Willunga on 21 and 22 May 2022 between 10 am and 3 pm. Learn about history and archaeology through displays of material culture, demonstrations and talks. What’s it like to be an Archaeologist or Historian? See how we investigate and interpret the past. There will be a chance for kids to dig up their very own artefact from our kid’s “dig-box” guided by our volunteers and Archaeology students from Flinders University. Experience our array of on-site exhibitions, guided walks and tours, and food and drinks are available for purchase. The Courthouse Museum and the Slate Museum will both be open to the public (free admission).
