Return to the Hunter with Scott Bevan

Join us as part of Heritage Festival and in honour of the Singleton Public Library building's 20th anniversary, as we host Scott Bevan to speak about his new book, Return to the Hunter.

Newcastle-born writer and journalist Scott Bevan paddled the Hunter River in 2011 to reconnect with who he was and where he was from.

That journey in a kayak led to the acclaimed book, The Hunter.

A decade on, Scott returned to the river to paddle it again.

The account of that journey, contained in Scott’s new book, Return To The Hunter, reflects on changes in the lives of those Scott met 10 years earlier, life on the river and the region, and in the author’s own life. But above all, this journey is a celebration of life.

As well as taking the reader on a new adventure, Return to the Hunter sees the original story of The Hunter back in print. In effect, Return To The Hunter is two stories, two journeys, in one book.

We warmly invite you to join us for the author’s talk, followed by a Q&A session. Copies of the book will be available for purchase on the night and a book signing opportunity with the author.
