PAST EVENT

Remembering Pioneer Village

Pioneer Village was Perth's premier tourist attraction in the 1980s. Come and discover a treasure trove of recently unearthed and never publicly seen plans and images from the personal collection of Pioneer Village creator George Doukidis.

Pioneer Village in Armadale opened in 1980 to much acclaim, attracting tourists and locals alike to experience its historical charms. 40 years on, a trove of fascinating images, plans and ephemera was donated to the Birtwistle Local Studies Library (City of Armadale) showing the creation of Pioneer Village in stunning detail. View a selection of these treasures. Enjoy projected images of Pioneer Village in its heyday. Listen to the people who were there. Share your memories of visits and immerse yourself in the experience that was Pioneer Village. Visit library.armadale.wa.gov.au or call 9394 5125 to book your place.
