Reimagining Mid-Century Homes in Beaumaris is a panel discussion between architects and homeowners on the possibilities of mid-century architecture in Melbourne's suburbs. In celebration of the release of Beaumaris Modern 2, we feature author Fiona Austin, Peter Madison and two local homeowners.
The event features a panel of writers, architects and homeowners who will be discussing the history, hurdles and future possibilities of local mid-century architecture. The homeowners joining Peter Madison and Fiona Austin include Wilko Doehring, architect and owner of the Kinder house and Laura Beilby and Wilf Johnston, owners of the Lyon house, featured on Restoration Australia on the ABC. The event coincides with the release of Beaumaris Modern 2, written by Fiona Austin, celebrating 17 mid-century homes in Beaumaris.
