Ranelagh Estate Walking Tour

The Heritage Victoria listed Ranelagh Estate in Mt Eliza is the focus of this guided walking tour through some of its curvilinear streetscape and reserves, designed by renowned architect, Walter Burley Griffin, in 1924, with the vision of a 'garden estate' as the guiding principle.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a walking tour led by a most knowledgeable guide and learn first-hand about the history of the estate and the heritage dwellings that line the streets of this stunning Mornington Peninsula area. In addition, at the conclusion of the tour, participants are invited to take either a coffee or glass of wine, at own expense, in the Ranelagh Clubhouse, overlooking Port Phillip. There they will be joined by local Architect, Victoria Grounds, co-author of an excellent book on the area titled ‘Ranelagh a Special Place’ which explores the estate from Griffin’s conception to recent times, available for purchase from Victoria (cash only please).
